Privacy policy
Effective 1 September 2026. The short version: nothing you type into a ProEnergySaver calculator is ever uploaded, because every calculation runs entirely inside your browser. The longer version, covering analytics, advertising cookies, security and your rights, is below.
1. Who we are
ProEnergySaver is an independent publisher of browser-based electricity cost calculators and appliance energy guides, operated by Y.W. Fung. This policy explains what data the site collects, what it deliberately does not collect, and the choices you have. For any privacy question, email hello@proenergysaver.app and we reply within 48 hours.
2. Calculator data never leaves your device
All calculations run 100% client-side in your browser. The appliance list you build, the wattages and daily hours you enter, your electricity rate, your standing charge and every resulting estimate are processed in browser memory and, where you choose to keep them, browser local storage. There is no upload, no account, no sign-up and no server-side copy of your inputs. We have no technical way to read them, which also means we cannot recover them if you clear your browser data.
3. Analytics: Google Analytics 4, anonymized
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-D6GJBRZQ62) to count page views, session duration, device type and approximate location at country or city level. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage, we do not enable Google Signals advertising features, and we never attempt to identify an individual visitor. We read this data only in aggregate, to decide which guides need updating. Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months and then deleted automatically. If you decline analytics consent, no measurement cookies are set.
4. Advertising and AdSense cookies
When advertising is active, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a consent banner before any advertising or analytics cookie is set. Declining leaves the calculators fully functional, because they never needed a cookie in the first place.
5. Affiliate links
Some guides contain Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Once you follow such a link, Amazon handles your data under its own privacy policy; we receive only anonymous commission reporting and never your order details, address or payment information.
6. Information you send us voluntarily
The only personal data you can give us is what you put in an email or in the contact form: your name, your email address and your message. The contact form does not post to a server — it opens a pre-filled draft in your own mail client, so nothing is sent until you press send. Messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on a conversation, then deleted.
7. Security and HSTS
proenergysaver.app sits on the .app top-level domain, which is included in the browser HSTS preload list. That means every connection to this site is forced over HTTPS by your browser before the first request is made; an insecure http:// connection is not possible. Site hosting and asset delivery are handled by our hosting provider over encrypted connections.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and comparable laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, object to processing, or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising cookies at any time. Because we hold no calculator data and no account records, in most cases the only data involved is an email you sent us. Write to hello@proenergysaver.app and we will act within 30 days.
9. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this page when our tools, analytics or advertising arrangements change. The effective date below always reflects the current version, and material changes are summarised at the top of the page for 30 days.

Does ProEnergySaver upload what I type into the calculators?
No. Every calculation runs 100% in your browser. Your appliance list, wattages, hours, electricity rate and standing charge never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
What cookies does the site set?
Google Analytics 4 sets measurement cookies only after you consent, and Google AdSense may set advertising cookies if advertising is enabled. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
